[...] The Emergent Psalter: I just downloaded the first 11 Episodes. I see it has my dear friend and former co-worker (and former co-Church Camp Counselor), Ana Hernandez doing an episode. It looks promising although I’ve not cracked it open yet. I think I may want the book. Given the source I’m sure there might be something that make some of us (Emergent or not) curl our toes. It’s good for you. [...]

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Dr Carr. He's got a good way of bridging rigorous scholarship with the realities of living. Also, he's one of the few people I know who speaks in complete paragraphs, which made that episode extremely easy to edit...

I loved Dr. Carr's exegesis of Psalm 51--that God might "beat the sin out of us . . . ." Just thinking how I might preach this . . . .

Thanks! Yeah, I wrote the antiphons with the intention that they'd be endlessly loopable, and I find myself singing them on the subway, on the sidewalk, etc. I've found that singing mantras is a great way to pray, especially when I don't feel like praying in paragraphs...

I am enjoying/ learning from/ anticipating these weekly podcasts on the Psalms. They have become a powerful meditative experience for me and I love being able to associate a central phrase/music with a particular Psalm. I find that they come to mind at unexpected times.
I have shared this website with others, and I thank you.
