Hey, everyone, I’m in the process of creating a new website, but I’m having some difficulty getting the songs to play.  Please patient with me – everything should be up and running in a day or two.

I was just asked to lead to workshops at Greenbelt this year on “ritual and electronic music.” If you’re in Cheltenham this August, pop by!

need a gig in Oregon

Jun 12, 2007 by isaac in Uncategorized

I just got hired to play for the Diocese of Northern California’s annual convention with my band. I’m booking myself the weekend after in Seattle at Church of the Apostles and St Thomas, Medina, but I could use a few gigs in the middle to help make the “west coast tour” affordable. Do you know anyone in Oregon who might want a super-cool church band?

Becky Garrison, a senior contributing editor of the Wittenburg Door and author of the recent Red and Blue God, Black and Blue Church has asked to interview me for an upcoming book she’s writing on alternative church. Other interviewees include Brian McLaren, Shane Claiborne, Jonny Baker, and Phyllis Tickle. Hopefully, I’ll come across as reasonably intelligent.

hired to write a book chapter

Oct 04, 2006 by isaac in Uncategorized

Church Publishing has asked me to contribute a chapter for their upcoming book on liturgical music, A Variety of Gifts. I’ll be writing about electronic music, sampling, DJs, etc. The book will also include chapters on jazz, choirs, organs, guitars, and hip hop. Sounds cool.

Rotation available on iTunes

Aug 12, 2006 by isaac in Uncategorized

Got a whole bunch of new gigs up along with some new pictures that were taken at the Ohio gig. Bowie and I are getting geared up to go Greenbelt and do our thing (if you don’t know Greenbelt, it’s kind of like a British Burning Man for Chrisitans). If you’re going to be at Greenbelt, shoot me an email so we can hang out!

Rotation is now available on iTunes as well as at the Episcopal Bookstore, although it’s a little hard to find at the latter (hint: look in “liturgy and music”). It’s still available on CDBaby, of course, or you can buy them from me. Of course, almost half of the album is downloadable in the “listens” section, so make sure you like the music before you buy it!

Oh, and people keep looking for me on MySpace and being surprised when they can’t find me, so bit the bullet and made myself a page. If you’re on there, feel free to add me to your network, poach my tunes, etc.
