Jun 24, 2008

WeWo has posted a pretty lengthy live recording of a performance we did recently, along with a nice long explanation by j. Snodgrass. I’ve never heard anyone exegete Pink Floyd that way before. If you want to hear Snodgrass’s comments, they’re excerpted below:

Need a Manager

Jun 19, 2008

So I was sitting around with the band yesterday, and we’ve decided it’s time to find ourselves a manager. We’re playing between two and eight gigs a month, we’ve sold 2500 CDs, and we’re already planning a three month tour for next summer. The logistics are getting to be more than we can handle, and it seems the perfect time for a manager to help us take this to the next level. Does anyone have any friends who do artist management?

Quoted on “Subersive Influence”

May 09, 2008

Subversive Influence did an extensive review of Rising From the Ashes, a book by Becky Garrison in which about 30 emerging leaders (myself included) were interviewed on a wide variety of subjects, including culture, ecclesiology, and justice. It’s a worthwhile book to pick up.

I have to say, though, that it’s quite humbling to see myself quoted alongside giants like Peter Rollins, Phyllis Tickle, and Brian McLaren…

Annotated Lyric Sheet by j. Snodgrass

Nov 12, 2007

Hey, friends, fans, and other loved ones…

My songwriting partner, j. Snodgrass, who was a huge creative force behind Transmission, has written an annotated lyric sheet for the entire album.  It not only includes background information about the songs, but it also includes “deleted scenes” and other bits that didn’t make it into the final product.  It’s a very interesting look behind the curtain and I highly recommend you check it out.  Go read it!

Also, Transmission is now available on iTunes, for those of you who don’t want a hard copy.

Transmission now available on Proost

Sep 21, 2007

Transmission is available for download from Proost for £6.99, which is about fourteen dollars for us here in the states. I encourage you to go buy the album from them - Proost is an endeavor well worth supporting.

Also, they’ve got a deal with which you can get access to their entire catalog for £60, which includes about 15 CDs and about 10 books. It’s a great deal. Go support them!

Interview on UCB UK last Saturday

Sep 14, 2007

I did an interview with George Luke, who has a show on UCB UK called “World Beat.” He played Thirteen (featuring Galeet Dardashti and Dara Centonze) and Misconception (featuring Yoel Ben Simhon and RC Laird). You can listen to the radio program in the “Press” section, where I’ve also just posted an interview with emergingchurch.info
